The second round of the EC XCO series was held in East London on a brand new track at Seavale. Clearly a lot of work went into the track which was freshly cut. On paper it looked like a “flattish” course in XCO terms but boy were everyone surprised at how demanding it was. A really tight track that made you work all the time!
We are getting used to good turnouts at our XCO events and once again were not disappointed. Great to see the youngsters taking to the sport. This event had more than the usual share of Vets and Masters which was also really nice to see.
Thanks to Eastern Wheelers putting this event together. You will find lots of event pic’s on their Fbook page. Click here for pic’s of Nippers and Sprogs & (some more) on short track and here for pic’s of the those racing the 4.7 km track.
Well done to all the category winners. In two weeks its off to Pretoria for leg two of the SA XCO series.
