We had some really hot conditions in the Baakens Valley for leg two of our Provincial XCO! Well done to everyone who took on a challenging course in hot conditions. As always there were some good riders with bad luck and we saw a couple of flat tyres.
The youth category is starting to become a real class category and looks like it is only a matter of time before we get a podium in this really competitive group as at national.
It was great to see Reinhard Zellhuber traveling all the way from Kokstad to join our event as an Eastern Cape rider. This year he joined Eastern Wheelers of East London. He is currently the fastest Junior rider on the SA XCO circuit and great to see him keeping the standard sky high at our events!
Good to see all the clubs getting more and more involved in XCO racing with newly formed Tiger Tracks assisting in PE area with Fat Track Mountain Bike Club also helping with track preparation. Eastern Wheelers from East London has been very active in that area hosting all the XCO events for the past few years. A BIG shout out to these clubs!
Some awesome race pic’s to be uploaded on Monday. Just check out our web!
